Why Don’t I Feel Like Myself Anymore? Understanding Fatigue, Brain Fog and Chronic Stress.

“I just thought I was tired.”
It’s something I hear regularly in clinic.
Many of the women I see aren’t looking for help because they’re ill. They’re looking for help because they don’t feel like themselves anymore.
They’re exhausted, even after what should have been a good night’s sleep.
They struggle to concentrate.
Their patience is shorter than it used to be.
They forget simple things.
They feel overwhelmed by everyday life.
They can’t remember the last time they woke up feeling refreshed.
Often, they tell themselves it’s just because they’re busy.
Or they’re getting older.
Or it’s their hormones.
Or it’s simply part of being a mum.
Sometimes that’s true.
But sometimes it’s your body’s way of saying it needs support.
More Than Just Feeling Tired
Life places huge demands on us.
Looking after children.
Working.
Running a home.
Caring for ageing parents.
Supporting everyone else before ourselves.
We become so used to keeping going that we stop noticing how much we’ve changed.
Many women tell me they don’t feel ill, but they don’t feel well either.
They’ve lost their spark.
They don’t enjoy the things they once did.
They’re simply getting through each day.
Looking Beyond the Symptoms
Persistent fatigue isn’t something to ignore, and it’s important to speak to your GP if you’re experiencing ongoing symptoms. Sometimes blood tests or further investigations are needed to rule out underlying medical causes.
Alongside this, I take a different approach.
Rather than focusing on one symptom, I want to understand the bigger picture.
When did things start to change?
How are you sleeping?
How are your energy levels throughout the day?
Have your hormones changed?
How is your digestion?
What has been happening in your life over the past few years?
Because no two people become exhausted for the same reason.
You Deserve to Feel Like Yourself Again
Feeling constantly tired, overwhelmed or disconnected from yourself shouldn’t simply become your new normal.
Homeopathy takes an individual approach, looking at your health as a whole and aiming to understand why your body may be struggling, rather than focusing on tiredness alone.
If you’ve been putting yourself at the bottom of the list for far too long, perhaps now is the time to change that.
